Who We Are
At the heart of Dixon Farm Flavorings are Orin and Mary Collom, whose love for family, hospitality, and home-cooked meals helped establish traditions that continue to inspire us today. Their example taught us that some of life's greatest memories are created around a shared table. Those traditions were passed to the next generation and eventually found a home at Dixon Farm, where our family's love for cooking and serving others continued to grow. Over many years, our family recipe was refined by the people who mattered most— our family and close friends. What began as a seasoning shared around our own table soon became something others wanted to enjoy in their homes as well. During 2012, our family property underwent major changes due to road construction behind and around our family’s houses. Earlier in the year, many of our buildings were torn down, but not the memories or history of the land where the Dixon Family has lived for over 50 years. On February 5, 2013, the Mecklenburg County Commissioners approved a rezoning request that would rename a part of Alexanderana Road as Dixon Farm Road. Our family recipe went on to become Dixon Farm Flavorings. Today, every bottle and seasoning packet represents far more than a blend of spices. It represents generations of family, faith, hospitality, hard work, and the belief that sharing a meal is one of life's greatest blessings.
